A Different Perspective

July 6th, 2009

Recently, glass balconies were added to the 103rd floor of Sears Tower. Currently, I am trying very hard to persuade some of my friends to venture on a journey to view Chicago from such heights — despite my own forced tolerance of heights. The idea of having only a few layers of glass separating oneself from a 1,353 feet fall is rather nerve-wrecking to me. However, it seems to be a rather interesting experience to undergo, and if anyone is willing to go with me, I’d love to try and challenge myself. Many things in life are equally nerve-wrecking and perhaps less interesting — but what’s life without its ups and downs? Take a different perspective sometimes in facing things and it may help lessen the load of the event on you; the experience of going on the 103rd floor, for instance, can be totally terrifying or exhilarating, or both! So, anyone want to take a walk on glass?
