Some History About Your Independence

July 4th, 2009

Fourth of July is here. It’s a time to get together with the family and watch fireworks. You even hear fireworks a couple days before that. That is what gets everyone excited for the big day.  Once the day comes people have picnics and go somewhere to watch the fireworks. Fourth of July was made because the United States declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Even though that is when we know America declared independence it really was July 2nd, which was the date the resolution of independence that was approved in a closed session of Congress. Everyone just celebrated it on the fourth instead. Even Thomas Jefferson came to believe that it was the 4th.Not many people care about the significance of Fourth of July. Many just look forward to the fun and the fireworks. On this Fourth of July weekend have fun. Don’t do anything too crazy.
