From One Bad Habit To Another

August 19th, 2009

I’ve decided to do what may seem impossible for most of you out there. I’ve decided to limit my television viewing. Typically, I search the TV channels for something to watch, but since I’ll be attending college this fall I want to enjoy the experience to the fullest. What this means is that instead of watching hours of mindless programming, I’m now going to limit my TV time to five television shows. I believe this is a good compromise since I can still enjoy shows I love and not waste time on TV trash. I’ve already started the transition this summer, but since summer programming sucks, that hasn’t been that much of a challenge. I’ve also noticed that since cutting back on television, I’ve been spending more time on my computer. So far, it seems like I’ve transferred my compulsion from one thing to another, like the time I tried to quit biting my nails and started chewing gum obsessively. Whatever, I’m going through with it anyway. Now the hardest part is picking what 5 shows to pick from the upcoming fall schedule, any suggestions?
